Tree ID and Climate Paddle

$50Paddle the wild and scenic Namekagon River with the Conservancy’s Climate Resiliancy Specialist Alexis Monti and learn about the lives of the trees and how we can build a more resilient landscape in the face of climate change. We’ll even try our hand at identifying by sound the birds the trees of the riverway attract.
This is a fully supported paddle and you will be provided with premium kayaks, paddles, and PFDs, as well as a shuttle service from your cars to the initial canoe/kayak landing.

Cost: $50
Paddle Length: 8.5 Miles
Paddle Difficulty: Beginner friendly, but intermediate paddlers are preferred
Bathrooms: At start and end with campsite pit toilets along the route
Recommended items to bring/wear:
- Adequate water
- lunch/snack while on river
- Polarized sunglasses
- Binoculars
- Clothing that correlates to weather conditions
- Sunscreen
- Hat
