Paddle With a Purpose: Veterans’ Riverway Retreat

Join two National Park Service rangers, both U.S. Marine Corps veterans, for a free paddle event that connects veterans to the healing power of the Riverway. This outdoor activity offers reflection, rest, and a chance to connect with fellow veterans while benefiting your physical and mental health. After the paddle, the rangers will host an optional BBQ at Osceola Landing. Participants can stay for the BBQ or take a shuttle back to Interstate Park.

Cost: FREE

Vehicle Admission: $7 daily pass or $35 annual pass

Paddle Length: 2-3 Hours

Paddle Difficulty: Good for beginners

Bathrooms: Restrooms are located at start and finish of paddle. A pit toilet is available around the half-way point.

Where to Meet: Minnesota Interstate Park Boat Launch at 10:00am.

What to bring:

● Adequate water

● Snacks

● Polarized sunglasses

● Binoculars

● Clothing that correlates to weather conditions (layers are best)

● Sunscreen & Bug Spray

● Hat

● MN State Park Sticker/vehicle pass to park (carpooling recommended)

Cancelation Information:

For the safety of participants and staff, this program may be canceled due to inclement weather. Participants will be notified via email and event pages will be updated if the program is canceled.
