History of the St. Croix Paddle

Join us for a deep dive into the fascinating history of the St. Croix River!

The St. Croix is flowing with history that shaped the river we love today. On this paddle you will learn about the river’s geologic formation, shifting relationship with human usage, and transition to its current protected status. Join us for a day of experiencing the St. Croix River and learning more about what makes this wild and scenic river so unique.

This is a fully supported paddle. You will be provided with premium kayaks, paddles, and PFDs, as well as a shuttle service back to your vehicles after the paddle.

Cost: $65

Vehicle Admission: N/A

Paddle Length: 9.3 miles

Paddle Difficulty: Beginner friendly, but intermediate paddlers are preferred

Bathrooms: At start and end

Where to Meet: Highway 70 Landing

We recommend you bring:

  • Adequate water
  • Lunch/snack
  • Polarized sunglasses
  • Binoculars
  • Clothing that correlates to weather conditions (layers are best)
  • Sunscreen
  • Hat

Cancelation Information:

For the safety of participants and staff, this program may be canceled due to inclement weather or a temperature of 0 degrees or below. Participants will be notified via email and event pages will be updated if the program is canceled.

Refund Policy:

There are no refunds for participant-initiated cancellations.
