FreeCelebrate the new year with fellow hearty hikers on the Tewksbury Trail at Standing Cedars Community Land Conservancy.
Embrace the winter weather on this 1.8 mile loop trail that maintains a rustic, natural feel while enjoying the scenery and beautiful St. Croix landscape.
Our first hike of the year will include an interpretive stroll with observational stops discussing prairie and savanna vegetation, some of the small sun-loving plants found in this segment, management practices, and other unique features of this beautiful watershed landscape.
This event is being co-hosted by Wild Rivers Conservancy and Standing Cedars Community Land Conservancy.
Standing Cedars Community Land Conservancy is a nonprofit organization led by a diverse group of St. Croix Valley residents. We are rooted in the community, and committed to protecting land for the people, as well as the environment, of the Lower St. Croix River Valley.

- Long pants and layers (base layer, mid-layer, snow pants)
- Upper body layers like a long-sleeved shirt and jacket
- Insulated shoes or boots with traction
- Hat or beanie
- Gloves or mittens
- Snowshoes (optional)
- Hiking poles (optional)
- Traction cleats, such as Yak Tracks (optional)
- Adequate water
