Land Protection Bus Tour

Join Wild Rivers Conservancy, MN Land Trust, and Trust for Public Land for a bus tour highlighting the St. Croix Permanent Land Protection Program. This tour will provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of land protection programs and their significance in preserving natural lands.

During this tour, we will be visiting a conservation easement enrolled in this program and will learn about the process with MN Land Trust, hear about the process from the landowner, and learn about restoration initiatives undertaken on the property. We will also be visiting a property that was acquired in fee-title acquisition by Trust for Public Lands and transferred to MN DNR for management and public use. This stop will include a presentation from Eli Sagor (UMN-Extension Forester) about how to keep your woods healthy and resilient, and Troy Holcomb (MN DNR) on how they plan to manage the land.

Please come dressed for the weather and prepared to be walking outside – water, boots, bug spray/sunscreen and layers.

This bus tour is free, but registration is required, and includes a free boxed lunch.
