Tales of a Tree Paddle

Paddle down the wild & scenic St. Croix River and discover the history of the logging and the unique tree species that are native to the Riverway. Explore historic sites and wooded areas as you paddle from Minnesota Interstate Park to Osceola Landing. Led by Seasonal Naturalist Amy Carrier and Forestry Program Coordinator Nikki Henger.

This is a fully supported paddle, you will be provided with a kayak, paddle, and PFD, as well as a shuttle service from your cars to the initial canoe/kayak landing.

Vehicle Admission: N/A

Paddle Length: 7 Miles

Paddle Difficulty: Beginner friendly, but intermediate paddlers are preferred

Bathrooms: At start and end with campsite pit toilets along the route

We recommend you bring:

  • Adequate water
  • lunch/snack
  • Polarized sunglasses
  • Binoculars
  • Clothing that correlates to weather conditions
  • Sunscreen
  • Hat

Cancelation Information:

In the event of inclement weather such as heavy rains and thunderstorms, this activity may be canceled. There are no refunds for participant-initiated cancelations.
