Battling Buckthorn: Invasive Species Workday

Volunteer to combat invasive buckthorn in Riegel Park! This is a great opportunity to give back to your community, complete volunteer hour requirements, and learn about threats to your local ecosystem.
Together, we will:
- Cut established buckthorn populations
- Haul brush to a central area for disposal
- Apply herbicide to buckthorn stumps
- Hand pull small buckthorn groups

Come & Go 9 AM – 1 PM, Help as long as you’re able!
Riegel Park, St. Croix Falls, WI – Plan to park at the St. Croix Falls Middle School and walk over.
OPTIONAL: Bring work gloves, clippers, & shovels. We will have a trailer filled with tools for use as well.
