Join our natural resources team in the field to help collect Galerucella beetles! Beetles collected on this date will be distributed to our Beetle Parent volunteers to initially start the rearing process for the purple loosestrife biocontrol project. All volunteers will be provided a pair of waders, a safety vest, gloves, and a beetle collection bottle. Volunteers should be comfortable spending time outside and walking/crouching in a wetland habitat.
