Land-Based Volunteer Cleanup
Join Riverway Volunteers for land-based cleanup events throughout the Riverway!
We’ll tackle small-scale cleanups, gathering litter and debris from trails, landings, shorelines, and parking areas. Open to new volunteers and all ages! No experience necessary, all supplies provided.
We’ll aim to clean the entire area, but don’t worry, it’s not a requirement. Volunteers are encouraged to do what they feel comfortable with. It’s a fantastic chance to chat, connect, and enjoy the camaraderie of fellow volunteers. An email with directions and details will be sent within 3 days leading up to the event. Meet Your Event Staff
What to Bring
- Long pants and layers
- Upper body layers like a long-sleeved shirt and jacket (moisture-wicking fabric is always a plus)
- Closed-toe shoes or boots with traction
- Sun protection (hat, sunglasses, sunscreen)
- Insect protection
- Adequate water/snack
Cancellation Policy
For the safety of participants and staff, this program may be canceled due to inclement weather. Registered participants will be notified via email by 8:00am the day of the event if the program is canceled.
