(SOLD OUT) Sunday in the Slough
May 23, 2021 @ 11:30 am - 4:30 pm
$50
**This event is now sold out. Please join us for an upcoming Explore Wild Rivers day paddle event!**
Float through the Kettle River Slough on a fun and informational paddle, led by Wild Rivers Conservancy Naturalist Jeremiah Walters!
Participants will be treated to a unique perspective of this stretch of the St. Croix River, which is sometimes impassable due to low water levels in the summer. Keep an eye out for critters, and learn about what Wild Rivers Conservancy does to protect the river while having a blast.
This supported trip includes shuttle service, kayak, a paddle, and PFD. Bring your lunch and dress appropriately as you are likely to get wet on this trip. If water levels are low, we’ll still have a good day paddling the St. Croix!
When: Sunday, May 23 from 11:30 AM-4:30 PM
Cost: $50
Where: Nelson’s Landing – Hwy 70 landing
15459 WI-70
Grantsburg, WI 54840
Trip Rating: Moderate to advanced (large number of riffles and rock rapids, with a big drop where the slough joins back up with the St. Croix River)
Participant Limit: 8 people
