Right to Harm – Virtual Film Showing
May 7, 2020 @ 6:30 pm - 9:00 pmFREE
Join us for a virtual showing of Right to Harm, a film on the dangers of concentrated animal feeding operations (CAFO) and the emerging positive alternatives to this type of farming. The Wild Rivers Conservancy supports local efforts to keep hog factories out of our watershed, encouraging the small farms that practice regenerative farming practices that have existed here for generations. This virtual event will take place on Thursday, May 7 at 6:30 PM.
This event is free but registration is required. Once registered, you will receive an email on May 7 with a link to view the film.
Through the riveting stories of five rural communities, Right to Harm exposes the devastating public health impact factory farming has on many disadvantaged citizens throughout the United States.
Filmed across the country, the documentary chronicles the failures of state agencies and elected officials’ unwillingness to regulate industrial animal agriculture. This film shares a lesson in civics and gives alternatives to the industrial model that has failed farmers, rural America, and the environment. It has a message of hope.
