Rivers Are Alive Spring Workshop

April 2, 2022 @ 10:00 am - 2:00 pm

$25

Empower yourself to become the riverway steward your students can look up to!

Join Wild Rivers Conservancy, National Park Service, and elementary teachers like YOU by diving deep into our K-12 environmental education curriculum, Rivers Are Alive. We will spend the day exploring engaging activities, educating ourselves on the St. Croix National Scenic Riverway and its watershed, and reconnecting with nature through an outdoor adventure. Our Spring workshop will focus on birding and mucking. Prepare for a day spent mostly outdoors while discovering more opportunities for learning for you and your students.

*Our day will include a walk down a steep incline to the river for mucking. Please contact us if this might be a challenge for you and we can discuss our options.

This spring workshop will be focusing on activities best for K-8 students.

A catered lunch, coffee, tea, and snacks will be provided.

4 CEU’s available.

The Deadline to register is Friday, March 25th.

Suggested items to bring:

  • Water bottle
  • Jacket/hat/mittens or appropriate outdoor clothing for the weather
  • Rain boots recommended (limited number of waders available)
  • Your favorite teacher friend!
