Aquatic Invasive Species Workshop

What do Phragmites, Starry stonewort, and Flowering rush have in common? All are aquatic invasive species threatening Minnesota’s landscapes & waterways! Join this FREE half-day workshop to learn more about efforts in Minnesota and locally in Chisago County to combat these invaders, and how you can get involved.
This dynamic workshop will feature presentations from:
- Julia Bohnen, UMN, on management and monitoring efforts of invasive Phragmites
- Meg Duhr, MAISRC, on research and management updates of Starry stonewort
- Garrett Miller, CLFLWD, on Flowering rush identification, threats, and management efforts.
Can’t make it in person? We’re presenting in a hybrid format! Attend virtually or in person at the Chisago County Government Center in Center City, MN. An online link will be sent to folks who register for the virtual option.
